Magazine Research
V
V is very modern, with modern culture playing a very big role in the shoots and articles. Texture and architecture are seen throughout the magazine. This doesn't seem to compliment my editorial ideas, it is too modern and minimal and although the styling is beautiful I do have to keep in mind that I will be styling jewellery and will have to be very specific.
LOVE
LOVE magazine is one of the most outrageous and creative magazines, very modern and fictional with interesting narratives. Above are some of my favourite images and the Audrey Kitching editorial has really inspired me to use a very vibrant background, something to suggest an Indian background and unlike the Audrey photoshoot I will not be clashing my background with my styling but will just emphasise my narrative.
LOVE has very different agendas, from the Tim Walker Supernatural editorial to the cuddling kittens Cara shoot.

AnOther
AnOther magazine seems to have a very distinctive style and feel to their editorials, very clean cut, alot of white space, black and white editing and alot of texture. This would not be the magazine of my choice for my editorial however, this is because I want vibrancy and colour, I feel these two aspects really make a jewellery editorial.
Decision
I have decided to use the magazine LOVE for which my editorial will be placed. This is because out of the three magazines LOVE is the most diverse, where I could have a very intricate and lavish editorial yet still have a very minimal layout and title page.
LOVE, as seen in the Audrey Kitching editorial, has been known to have very busy and bright sets which clash with alot of styling and prints, this is just what I envisage for my shoot. Being with an Indian reference I was going to portray this through the backdrop.
